UNIVERSE - Installation of Party Structures in NGOMEDZAP

On Sunday, April 13, 2025, the leader of the UNIVERS Party, Professor Nkou Mvondo, presided over the installation of elected officials within the UNIVERS constituency of the locality of Ngomedzap, in the Nyong-et-So’o Division, Central Region. He was accompanied by a large delegation that included, among others, Barrister Akere Muna, the UNIVERS Party’s presidential candidate for the 2025 election, Dr. Baleguel Nkot, Secretary General of the Union of the Populations of Cameroon (UPC), Dr. Ngapout Jean-Jaurès, President of the People's Party, Mr. Njan Dénis, President of the Popular Action Party (PAP), and the Vice-President of UNIVERS, Mr. Foyet Kennedy.

The delegation led by Professor Nkou Mvondo was welcomed by Mr. Bayang Simon, President of the Commission for the Establishment of the Party's Grassroots Structures in the locality, and the Departmental Representative of the UNIVERS Party for Nyong-et-So’o, Mr. Owona Gaspard Fils. This was followed by a series of speeches, welcoming all attendees, expressing pride and joy at the official establishment of the UNIVERS Party in Ngomedzap, and emphasizing the importance of mobilization for the upcoming electoral deadlines. Mr. Messi Paul Bertrand, President of the UNIVERS Section, highlighted the commitment of the people of Ngomedzap to support Barrister Akere Muna as the UNIVERS Party’s candidate in the 2025 presidential election. Mr. Amba Christian, President of the Youth Section, reaffirmed the dedication of Ngomedzap’s youth to contribute to building a new Cameroon.

The time then came for the installation of the newly elected officials of the UNIVERS Party’s grassroots units. Installed were the senior and junior section office members, as well as the General Coordinator of the Party’s activities in the locality. The newly elected officials received congratulations from the leader of the UNIVERS Party and members of the accompanying delegation, all amid applause from the gathered crowd of UNIVERS Party supporters.

The floor was then given to Professor Nkou Mvondo, leader of the UNIVERS Party, who addressed the party members and the people of Ngomedzap in both French and Béti. The highlight of the ceremony was the speech delivered by Barrister Akere Muna, the UNIVERS Party’s candidate in the 2025 presidential election. He expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended to him by the party supporters and the people of Ngomedzap. He took the opportunity to present his vision for a new Cameroon, focusing on justice, equal opportunity, and the development of the population. He called on the people of Ngomedzap to mobilize massively for the upcoming elections and to vote, when the time comes, for the UNIVERS Party candidates.

The meeting ended around 6 p.m., to the great satisfaction of all. It is worth noting that throughout the ceremony, the Vice-President of the Section, Mrs. Anega Florence, provided medical services to the attendees, offering both preventive and curative care. The ceremony was enlivened by many local artists who showcased their talents in music and song, giving everyone a chance to dance during the interludes scheduled throughout the meeting.
